NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR COHORT 7 STARTING FALL 2024
"I am currently working at Infinity Health in Leon, Iowa. It is an FQHC patient-centered medical home where we provide primary care, mental health including SUD services, vision, dental, and pharmacy all under the same roof. My position and practice setting are right in the AHEC Scholars wheelhouse. I'm thankful I did that program in pharmacy school."
~ Matthew Craig, PharmD
AHEC Scholars Cohort 1
"AHEC Scholars helped me see areas I typically wouldn’t have within my undergrad program. They also prepared me to assist a multitude of populations. I can’t thank AHEC enough for the education they provided me, I still use it to this day."
~ Marissa Fillyaw, MPH
AHEC Scholars Cohort 2
"Participating in AHEC Scholars helps me stand out on applications where I can show quantifiable action towards self improvement and skills developed. It shows dedication to our field and continual growth in all disciplines of medicine, not just primary care. I am interested in community emergency medicine and feel that this program really works on promoting cultural awareness and learning."
~ Abigail Nardi, Medical Student
