West Central Missouri AHEC provides presentations and activities to encourage youth to consider careers in health care. Our two main programs are "ACES" and Youth Health Service Corps. Click on the links to the left to read more about these programs.
AHEC also offers presentations to classes and communities on the benefits of health careers.

On February 3, 2009 several ACES and ACES+ students travelled to Jefferson City to meet with their local legislators in support of funding for the MAHEC programs.

Ten students from various high schools in Lafayette County completed Tier 1 training of the Youth Health Service Corps program.
The West Central Missouri Area Health Education Center (AHEC) is a regional center of the statewide Missouri Area Health Education Centers. Every county in Missouri is represented by one of seven regional centers. The WCMO AHEC serves the counties of Jackson, Johnson, Cass and Lafayette.
